Statement of the Central Committee of Komala in Support of the Establishment of the “National Dialogue Center”

More than 200 political and social activists from Kurdistan, through the publication of a call, have emphasized the necessity of establishing dialogue and political coordination among the struggles of the Kurdish people across the four parts of Kurdistan.
Komala (The Kurdistan Organization of the Communist Party of Iran) has always emphasized the reality that the struggles of the Kurdish people in different parts of Kurdistan, despite differences in conditions, politics, and strategies, possess objective connections and mutual influences. Ongoing developments in the region have once again highlighted this reality.
In our view, any initiative that can create the basis for dialogue, exchange of experiences, and coordination among political and social forces in the parts of Kurdistan can in itself be a necessary and positive step. On this basis, we welcome the proposal for the establishment of the “National Dialogue Center” as a platform for dialogue among different forces and announce our readiness for active participation in this process.
At the same time, we emphasize that Komala’s participation in such a process will be based on our independent policy and socialist strategy. We believe that real progress on the Kurdish question is not possible without relying on the power of the working class, toilers, and freedom-seeking and egalitarian movements.
We also emphasize that such initiatives can only lead to tangible and progressive results if they move beyond the level of general discussions and serve to strengthen the real struggles of the people, especially workers, laborers, deprived sections of society, women, and youth.
While supporting the beginning of this process, we stress the necessity of political transparency, preserving the independence of participating forces, and orientation toward the interests of the majority of the people of Kurdistan, and we will strive to play an active and responsible role along this path.
