Statement of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of Komala Rejecting Claims Regarding the Receipt of Weapons from the United States

Following the recent remarks by Donald Trump, President of the United States, claiming that weapons have been sent into Iran through Kurdish forces, the Secretariat of the Central Committee of Komala (Kurdistan Organization of the Communist Party of Iran) deems it necessary to once again clearly restate its consistent position.

Throughout its entire history of struggle against the Islamic Republic and for the freedom and rights of the toiling and oppressed people of Kurdistan, Komala has maintained a clear, responsible, and transparent policy toward civil struggles, social protests, and mass movements of the people. Our emphasis has always been on organizing struggling people from below, relying on conscious, organized, and purposeful mass movements, and avoiding the militarization of the political struggle in Kurdistan. We have consistently insisted on the fact that the more the people’s struggle relies on its own conscious, organized, and social power, the more limited the maneuvering capacity of repressive forces becomes, and the possibility of attacks on the people diminishes.

The people of Kurdistan, with an accumulated experience of decades of struggle, have well learned the paths and pitfalls of this battle. They know that the real power of the revolutionary and freedom-seeking movement lies not in projects imposed by global powers, but in the organized strength of the people themselves, in conscious and organized protest, and in an independent presence grounded in the will of the masses. Komala has gained recognition, credibility, and strength precisely on this basis.

Therefore, we categorically and strongly deny receiving any weapons, aid, support, or political-security coordination from the United States or Israel. Komala, not only in the current situation but at no point and under no circumstances, has been part of U.S. or Israeli projects in Iran, nor has it had the slightest coordination with such projects. This is not a tactical or temporary position, but a part of our political, social, and revolutionary identity.

Komala is a movement rooted in the lived suffering, resistance, and aspirations of the people of Kurdistan. The credibility of this organization does not come from the think rooms of foreign governments, nor from behind-the-scenes relations or security dealings, but from the trust of the people, from its connection with workers, women, youth, and the toilers of Kurdistan, and from its steadfast adherence to an independent and freedom-seeking tradition of revolutionary struggle.
